Resident Evil 4 Remake: an exclusive game mode is hidden in the demo version |
The "Chainsaw Demo" for Resident Evil 4 Remake has been available for over 24 hours. Many players have already completed the short preview of the game, and if they have, you may feel that it is too easy. Don't worry, special modes of increasing difficulty are accessible.
In fact, some players have encountered special difficulty modes throughout the RE4 experience. This secret difficulty called "Crazy Chainsaw Mode" makes the game even more complicated. There is only one life in the program, no respawn.
MAD CHAINSAW MODE IS DEMO EXCLUSIVE
Note that this is a demo-exclusive mode, i.e. it will not be available on the final version of the game. So now that you know of its existence, you are wondering maybe how to enable it on your console, and this is where it gets tricky.
According to several players on social media, there's no obvious way to trigger the crazy chainsaw mode. This option will presumably only randomly appear at the start of a new game in the Resident Evil 4 demo. You don't need to finish the game to unlock it, either.
At the moment, if you want to intentionally play the mode, your best option seems to be to restart the demo on your console until it shows up. You may have to repeat this process a few times, but eventually the special mode should pop up and allow you to complete the challenge.
For those who haven't tried it or can't get the experience, you can discover our experience. The good news is that this demo has no time limit and lets you relive iconic moments from the 2005 game. As a reminder, it's available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. The Xbox One appears to have been discontinued by Capcom.
