Forza Motorsport: you will need an SSD to play the racing game on PC

Home

New information for the PC version of Forza Motorsport, including suggested PC specifications and supporting technologies, has been released by Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios.

The developer has stated in a recent blog post that Forza Motorsport for PC will support native resolutions up to and including 4K. The next racing simulator will also support the upsampling technologies from AMD's FSR 2.2 and Nvidia's DLSS 2. However, Microsoft mostly used the occasion to disclose the necessary PC setups.

The new Forza has high hardware requirements, which is not surprising. The minimal requirements are relatively low—a GTX 1060 graphics card is all that's required to play the game—but the studio especially suggests an SSD with at least 130 GB of free space. If your computer only has one HDD hard drive, it might be time to upgrade.
